Refer an Expat

A. Promotion Details 

1. Definitions:
   1. “Referal Reward” means shopping vouchers worth S$10 for Prudential customers and customers’ referees.
   2. “Gift” means shopping vouchers worth S$50 for Prudential customers.
   3. “Promotion” means this “Refer an Expat” Referral promotion.
   4. “Promotion Period” commences from 1 January 2024 – 30 June 2024 (both dates inclusive).
   5. “Prudential” means Prudential Assurance Company Singapore (Pte) Limited.
   6. “Expat” means an individual living or working in Singapore on a valid pass and is not a Singaporean citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
   7. “Referrer” means Prudential customers who has referred a Referee during the Promotion Period.
   8. “Referee” means an Expat contact who is referred by a Referrer and is not an existing customer of the Referrer’s Prudential Financial Consultant.
   9. “Prudential Customer” means a policyholder who has at least one inforced policy with Prudential.
   10. “Participant” means either Referrer or Referee.
2. Eligibility
   

   For Participants to be eligible for the Referral Reward under this Promotion, the Participants have to satisfy all the following qualifying criteria set out in these Terms and Conditions during the Promotion Period:

   1. For Participants to be eligible for the Referral Reward under this Promotion, the Participants have to satisfy all the following qualifying criteria set out in these Terms and Conditions during the Promotion Period:
      1. Referrer would need to complete and submit the “Refer an Expat Campaign” online form during the Promotion Period.
      2. Referee would need to complete a financial needs review with the Referrer’s Prudential Financial Representative after the submission of the “Refer an Expat Campaign” online form.
      3. Only Referee referred by Referrer is eligible to participate in this Promotion.
   2. For Referrer to be eligible for the Gift under this Promotion, the Referee have to satisfy all the following qualifying criteria set out in these Terms and Conditions during the Promotion Period:
      1. Referrer would need to complete and submit the “Refer an Expat Campaign” online form during the Promotion Period.
      2. Referee would need to complete a financial needs review with the Referrer’s Prudential Financial Representative within three months after the submission of the “Refer an Expat Campaign” online form.
      3. Referee would need to make a purchase of a minimum Annual Premium Equivalent of S$2,000 within three months of the submission of the “Refer an Expat Campaign” online form.
      4. Solutions purchased will need to be incepted by 31 July 2024.
   3. Each Eligible Referee will be entitled to a maximum of one (1) Referral Reward regardless of the number of financial needs reviews completed or policies purchased.
   4. Each Eligible Referrer can be entitled to more than one (1) Referral Reward and/or Gift. The number of Referral Reward and/or Gift entitled will be based on the number of Referee who meets all eligibility of the Promotion.
3. Promotion Mechanisms
   
   1. The Promotion is open to all Prudential customers and their Referees.
   2. Submission of referrals must be completed using the “Refer an Expat Campaign” online form.
   3. Purchase must meet a minimum Annual Premium Equivalent of S$2,000 within three months of submission of the “Refer an Expat Campaign” online form.
   4. Purchase must be incepted by 31 July 2024.
   5. Limited to the first 600 referrals who conducts a financial review with Prudential Financial Representative, and whose Prudential Financial Representative indicates change in lead status to ‘First Appointment’.
   6. Qualified purchase must be in-force at the point of Gift Redemption.
4. Referral Reward and/or Gift Redemption/Collection
   
   1. Prudential will issue a SMS and/or Email (“Redemption Notification”) to each Eligible Referrer and Referee within two (2) months of qualification. Eligible Referee shall be solely responsible for ensuring that they provide Prudential with a valid Singapore mobile phone number and email address of both Referrer and Referee on the “Refer an Expat Campaign” online form, for the purpose of redemption. The Singapore mobile phone number of the Referrer should match Prudential’s record that is used to send this campaign SMS to the Referrer. The Eligible Referee agrees and accepts that Prudential will not be responsible for any consequences arising out of or in connection with his/her failure to provide Prudential with a true, complete and accurate Singapore mobile phone number or email address and/or notify Prudential of any change(s) to his/her Singapore mobile phone number and email address. Redemption of Referral Reward and/or Gift will commence three (3) months after the financial needs review is completed. Referral Reward and/or Gift must be redeemed within two (2) months from the date of Redemption Notification. If an Eligible Referrer or Referee fails to claim his/her Referral Reward and/or Gift within the stipulated redemption period in the Redemption Notification, his/her Referral Reward and/or Gift will be forfeited, and the Eligible Referrer and Referee shall not have any claim against Prudential for such forfeiture. Further details of the redemption procedures will be set out in the Redemption Notification.

B. General Terms and Conditions

1. By participating in Promotion, each Participant is deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any other instructions, terms and conditions that Prudential may issue from time to time.
2. Prudential assumes no responsibility for, (i) incomplete, lost, late, damaged, illegible or misdirected forms or email communication; (ii) technical hardware or software failures of any kind; (iii) lost or unavailable network connections; or (iv) failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic transmissions, which may limit a Participant’s ability to participate in the Promotion.
3. The following categories of persons are not eligible to participate in the Promotion: employees (including their immediate family) of Prudential, suppliers of the Referral Reward and/or Gift(s), and any other company professionally connected to the Promotion. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child, step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, sibling, step-sibling, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt niece, nephew or first cousin.
4. Prudential has the sole and absolute discretion to determine whether a Participant meets the requisite eligibility criteria under the Promotion and to exclude any Participant from participating in the said Promotion without any obligation to furnish notice and/or reason.
5. Prudential reserves the right to disqualify or disregard any Participant who does not comply with these Terms and Conditions.
6. Prudential may at its discretion forfeit the Referral Reward and/or Gift, or, if already awarded, reclaim the Referral Reward and/or Gift at the expense of the Winner without payment, compensation, or having to give any reason whatsoever in the event Prudential subsequently discovers that the Winner is not eligible to participate in the Promotion and/or to receive the Referral Reward and/or Gift.
7. Referral Reward and/or Gift(s) are subject to availability while stocks last. Prudential reserves the right to replace any Referral Reward and/or Gift with items of similar value at any time without prior notice.
8. Prudential shall not be liable for any loss of, damage to, defects, delay, mis-delivery or non-delivery of the Referral Reward and/or Gift(s).
9. Prudential reserves the right to deal with any unclaimed Referral Reward and/or Gift(s) in any manner it deems fit. Prudential reserves the right to request for the Winner’s proof of eligibility, identity and/or otherwise for the purposes of verifying the Winner’s claim to the Referral Reward and/or Gift(s) at the time of Referral Reward and/or Gift collection. Prudential is under no obligation whatsoever to disclose the identity of the Winner(s) or to publish the same for any reason at any point of time.
10. The Referral Reward and/or Gift is not exchangeable for cash, credit or any other items of equivalent value. The validity period of the Referral Reward and/or Gift is non-extendable. Prudential will be under no obligation to replace or pay to the Participant the value of any Referral Reward and/or Gift(s) that are not utilised by the Participant before the end of the validity period of the Referral Reward and/or Gift(s) as may be stipulated by Prudential and/or relevant merchants.
11. The Promotion is not valid in conjunction with any other promotions carried out by Prudential.
12. By participating in this Promotion, each Participant agrees and consents under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 to the collection, use and disclosure of any and all personal data of the Participant by/to Prudential, its advertising and promotional agencies and such other third party, in Prudential’s absolute discretion, consider appropriate or necessary in connection with the Promotion and redemption of the Referral Reward and/or Gift(s).
13. If a Participant provides Prudential with personal data of any third party, that Participant hereby:
    1. Agrees on behalf of that third party to be bound by the Terms and Conditions contained herein; and
    2. Consents on behalf of that third party, to Prudential’s collection, use, disclosure and processing of his/her personal data in accordance with the Terms and Conditions contained herein.

    The Participant warrants that he/she has obtained the said third party’s prior consent to such collection, use, disclosure and processing of his/her personal data by Prudential and that the personal data that the Participant provides to Prudential is true, accurate and complete.

14. Prudential shall not be liable for any third party’s misuse of the Participant’s submitted information and photograph as a result of the Participant taking part in the Promotion.
15. Unless prohibited by law, participation in the Promotion constitutes permission for Prudential, its advertising and promotional agencies to use any of the Participant’s names, and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes. Each Participant further agrees and acknowledges that the copyright and all other intellectual property rights in and to all photographs or audio-video or other recordings of the Participant taken or made in connection with the Promotion shall vest solely and absolutely in Prudential without any compensation to the Participant.
16. Prudential may at any time at its absolute discretion, without prior notice or assigning any reason thereof or being liable to any person, (i) suspend, cancel or terminate the Promotion, or (ii) delete, vary, supplement, amend, modify any one or more of the terms and conditions of the Promotion. Prudential’s determination of all matters in connection with the Promotion and the Referral Reward and/or Gift shall be final, binding and conclusive. Prudential is not obliged to give any reason or prior notice on any matter concerning the Promotion or the Referral Reward and/or Gift. No appeal, correspondence or claims will be entertained. Prudential has the right and discretion to determine whether a party has met the requirements of the Promotion and/or to receive the Referral Reward and/or Gift. Participant shall not be entitled to any damages or compensation whatsoever or howsoever arising out of or as a result of such amendment, suspension or termination.
17. By participating in the Promotion, all Participants agree and undertake to, at all times, indemnify, keep indemnified, and hold Prudential, its employees and agents harmless against any and all losses (including direct, indirect, incidental and/or consequential losses), damages (including general, special, and/or punitive damages), demands, injuries (other than personal injury caused by Prudential’s negligence), claims, costs, penalties, interest and fees (including all legal fees as between solicitor and client or otherwise on a full indemnity basis whether or not incurred in respect of any real, anticipated, or threatened legal proceedings), howsoever caused by, arising out of or resulting from, whether directly or indirectly, their participation in the Promotion, acceptance or usage of any Referral Reward and/or Gift, and/or any breach or purported breach of these Terms and Conditions and/or any applicable law.
18. Prudential makes no warranty or representation as to the quality, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the merchants’ goods and services in respect of the Referral Reward and/or Gift(s). Any dispute about the same must be resolved directly with the merchants. Merchants’ terms and conditions apply.
19. In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy between these Terms and Conditions and the contents of any brochure, marketing and/or promotional materials relating to the Promotion, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
20. Any trademarks, graphic symbols, logos or intellectual property contained in any materials used in connection with this Promotion, in particular the Referral Reward and/or Gift(s), are the property of their respective owners. Prudential is not affiliated with, or endorsed or sponsored by, such owners and their relevant affiliates.
21. Failure by Prudential to exercise any of its right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.
22. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore and the Participant agrees to irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts in relation to any matter, claim or dispute arising out of or in connection to these Terms and Conditions.
23. A person who is not a party to any agreement governed by these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions.
